Car stolen from McIntyre St. W driveway Update

A stolen Volkswagon jetta that was reported stolen on the 4th July 2013 has been recovered.

A citizen woke up in the morning to find a strange vehicle parked in his driveway, when police were contacted it was learned that this was the same vehicle that had been reported stolen the night before.

The vehicle has been returned to its owner.

The North Bay Police service would like everyone in North Bay to have a safe, enjoyable weekend.

On July 4, 2013 at 11:15pm a 2003 Silver Volkswagon Jetta TDI 4Dr Lic# BJRT613 was taken from the driveway of a residence on McIntyre St. W.

The owner of the vehicle was at home at the time and heard the vehicle start. The owner exited the residence and saw the vehicle being reversed out of the driveway.

The subject behind the wheel was described as an 18-21 year old Aboriginal male, with no facial hair. He was wearing a black baseball cap and a light coloured sweatshirt.

Constable St. John is investigating.
