Calvin Presbyterian welcomes new minister

The members and adherents of Calvin Presbyterian Church are excited to welcome their new minister, The Rev. Frances Savill. Rev. Savill comes to Calvin after a 13 year ministry at Richmond Presbyterian Church in Richmond, BC.

Rev. Savill comes to Calvin after a 13 year ministry at Richmond Presbyterian Church in Richmond, BC.  

Previous to this charge, she served as the minister at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Thornbury, Ontario for eight years.

The Induction Service for Rev. Savill will be held this Sunday, September 7 at 7:00 pm at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 401 First Ave. W.  

The service will be conducted by The Rev. Charlene Wilson, Moderator of the Presbytery of Algoma and North Bay, with the sermon message being delivered by The Rev. John Wilson, Minister of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Sault Ste. Marie.

It is expected that there will be many Presbyterian ministers from throughout Ontario, along with ministers from a variety of local churches attending to welcome Rev. Savill, her husband, Mark, son Jonathan and daughters Sarah and Rebekah to North Bay.

The members of Calvin invite everyone in North Bay and area to this special worship service and an opportunity to meet the Savill family afterwards.
