Callander Olympian competes today

Milne, who now resides in Guelph, will race in one of three heats Monday morning.

Callander's Taylor Milne will begin his second Olympic games today in the 3000 m Men's Steeplechase.   

The Canadian, who now resides in Guelph, will race in the third of three heats Monday morning that begin at 9:30 a.m.  

Milne qualified with a first place finish in the 3000 m steeplechase final at the 2016 Canadian Championships and Rio Selection Trials which took place in Edmonton in early July.  

Milne competed in Beijing in 2008 in the men’s 1500 m. 

Milne switched over from 1500 m specialty to the steeplechase back in 2012.
