Hollywood Star Brooke Shields went on national TV on Monday morning to praise the city of North Bay.

The well known actress spent time in North Bay in the fall of 2015 and February of this year filming three movies which are part of the Hallmark Flower Shop Mystery Series.

“It feels like a second home and I never would have thought I would have said that,” Shields told CP24’s Pooja Handa in an interview monday morning.

“I love North Bay, we sort of dominated the town and everybody is so happy and welcoming to us and we work such long hours and we had to convert whole streets into our town of New Chapel and we have a freedom there that we don’t have in a big city, and we sort of engaged the community.”

Shields talked about her career and the appeal to get involved in Hallmark production which also stars Beau Bridges.

“I feel great about this era of my career working on these Flower Shop Mystery Movies, sort of very much like ‘Murder She Wrote’ for W, it’s hybrid, it’s like this great version of enough comedy to keep me just buoyant and alive and then the mystery and the drama,” she said during the interview.

The first movie, “Mum’s the Word,” will air on the W Network this weekend.
