We're getting reports that area roads and highways are in rough shape because of snow streamers from Georgian Bay.

The accident pictured occurred in the northbound lane on Highway 11 just by the Lakeshore Drive turnoff.

If you are driving south, there is a snow squall warning for the Huntsville - Baysville area.

Snow squalls are affecting areas east of Georgian Bay this morning. For the most part, the activity is rather disorganized, but occasional bursts of heavy snowfall along with very poor visibility can be expected.

The activity should slowly shift southward during the day as winds become more northwesterly behind a passing cold front.

Some areas may see accumulations exceeding 15 cm by later today.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.

If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
