Powassan OPP is investigating a motor vehicle collision involving an ATV, which occurred yesterday morning in the Golden Valley area.
A father and his 9-year-old girl were travelling on a 3-wheeled ATV on Odorizzi Road when it left the road and entered the ditch. The girl was taken to North Bay General Hospital and then air lifted to McMaster University Hospital with suspected head injuries. The young girl is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Members of the Technical Traffic Accident Investigations unit are also being utilized in the investigation. Both riders of the ATV were not wearing helmets and charges are pending. The investigation is ongoing.
