Producers and location managers now have a unique tool to source locations, talent, and services throughout the region.
The City of North Bay has partnered with the Municipalities of West Nipissing, Callander, Temagami, and Powassan and the Mattawa-Bonfield Economic Development Corporation to create an inventory platform of images and information that will assist Producers and Directors when considering film and television project locations.
Following a number of film shoots in the area over the last two years, the film portal was created to support the growth of the industry throughout the region. It is an online searchable database featuring service providers, talent, and various locations with appropriate public submission and edit capabilities.
The film portal’s official launch will take place at 10:00 a.m. on January 19, 2011 at the Discovery North Bay Museum, 100 Ferguson Street in North Bay. The launch will also include details on how individuals and businesses in the area can be listed.
