The North Bay Literacy Council will now be known as Literacy Nipissing.
The group has been serving the community of North Bay and surrounding area for 37 years.
The organizations has been a leader in the field of adult literacy and have assisted over 3500 adult learners in that time.
Literacy Nipissing offers adults help with improving reading, writing, math and computer skills in order to further their education or enter the workforce.
The Board of Directors, under the leadership of former executive director Jane Jackson, determined that the name and logo needed to be updated to reflect that adults are served in North Bay, Mattawa, Rutherglen, Bonfield, Callander, Corbeil and Redbridge.
