To the editor:

Got to the NBRHC yesterday at 7:00 a.m. at emergency with my son, whom had sustained a repeat back injury.

We assumed we would be out of there before noon, as we arrived there early.

As it turned out we didn't leave until about 6:30 p.m., almost 12 hours later.

My son has been on a waiting list for a doctor for a few years now, and once in a while, he gets a notice that they still have him on record.

I know a few doctors, but they either have a full amount of patients or are thinking of retiring soon.

This was not the first time for a lengthy wait time. Glad to see "something" is being done about this situation. We heard so many similar stories during our 12-hour wait.

It is a beautiful hospital.

P.S.-They need a better system of calling out patients from the waiting room, as many people can't hear too well from behind the glass.

Thank you

Keith Soomer
