IMPAIRED DRIVING On Thursday the 27th of August 2013 at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers of the North Bay Police Service observed an e-bike swerving as it travelled on Morin Street.

On Thursday the 27th of August 2013 at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers of the North Bay Police Service observed an e-bike swerving as it travelled on Morin Street. Investigation into this matter revealed that the 55 year old North Bay male operating the e-bike was impaired by alcohol and as a result was charged with the criminal offence of Impaired Driving and will appear in court at a later date.

The public is reminded that e-bikes are considered a motor vehicle under the Criminal Code of Canada and as a result, all the federal laws pertaining to alcohol while operating a motor vehicle apply.

THEFT
On Thursday the 27th of August 2013 at approximately 11:00 p.m., a male entered the Macs Convenience Store located at 183 Lakeshore Drive and stole the Cystic Fibrosis charity box from the counter. The male fled the store on foot.

The suspect is described as male, native, 20-25 years of age wearing a white hoody. Investigation is ongoing.
