BREAK & ENTER

During daytime hours thieves made their way into an apartment in the 1400 block of Ferguson St. via the front door. Once inside they stole a Playstation 3 with 3 games.

SAVES LIFE

The North Bay Police Service wishes to advise of the following:

On the 5th of April at approximately 2:44 AM Csts. Dave Wilson and Jason Long of this Service received a call to attend Mac’s Mart at Fisher and Chippewa Sts. in relation to a man having passed out.

The officers arrived and soon concluded that the man had stopped breathing and placed him in the recovery position and were about to commence CPR when the North Bay and District Ambulance personnel showed up.

Cst. Long continued giving the man chest compressions while the ambulance personnel were tending to the man’s need for air.

At one point the man’s heart stopped beating and he was administered the defibrallator to re-activate his heart.
Once this was accomplished he was rushed by ambulance to the North Bay General Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
