Road Rage

At 4:35 p.m. on January 13 a man was about to park his vehicle in a parking lot on Josephine St. when a second man drove into the parking spot ahead of him. An argument ensued and when the second man attempted to walk into the store the first man pursued him and punched him several times in the head. Leon Brideau, 22 years, of Carruthers St. was arrested and charged with assault and breach of probation. He is to appear in court February 25, 2014. Cst Jennifer Hollingshead is investigating.

R.I.D.E. Results in Drug Charges

At 11:30 p.m. January 13, a R.I.D.E. check on Main St. East at the overpass identified a strong smell of marijuana coming from a vehicle with 3 occupants. A partial marijuana cigarette butt was visible on the dash. A subsequent search of the vehicle and occupants located 36 grams of marijuana, 40 methamphetamine pills, 1.5 grams of cocaine, multiple scales, baggies and over a $1000 in cash.

Wayne Dawson, 30 years, of Cassells St. has been charged with 2 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled drug, 2 counts of breach of probation and has been held in custody for a bail hearing.

Matthew Summers, 25 years, of Clarence St. was charged with 2 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled drug and released with a court date of March 11, 2014.

Brittany Hindmarsh, 22 years, of Pinewood Park Dr. was charged with 2 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled drug, possession of a prohibited weapon, and released with a court date of March 11, 2014.
