RE. THE STOLEN DIGITAL RECORDERS On Friday our Service reported that a man was in custody in regards to having stolen 3 digital recorders from an electronic retailer.

On Friday our Service reported that a man was in custody in regards to having stolen 3 digital recorders from an electronic retailer.
This morning we would like to report that a second individual is in custody for this same offence.
Jason GILLIS 32 years old is charged with 3 counts of Theft, 3 counts of Possession of Stolen Property and 3 counts of Fraud. He remains in custody for a bail hearing.

UNRULY PATIENT

On the 15th of March during the evening hours it is alleged that a woman repeatedly struck a nurse over the head with a plate.
This matter was investigated by Cst. Scott Buchanan of the North Bay Police and on the 16th of March this woman was arrested.
Beverly GREATHOUSE 39 years old of North Bay is charged with Assault With a Weapon and was held for a bail hearing..

THREATENS TO BURN RESIDENCE

On the 14th of March it is alleged that a man threatened to burn down a residence of a female while she was in it. He further damaged property within this residence.
Csts. Barry McIntosh and Ross Lingley of the North Bay Police were called and arrested a male in relation to these allegations.
Donald GAREAU 50 years old of Rivers Rd. in Callander is charged with Threatening Death, Mischief and Threatening to Destroy Property. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.

CAUGHT IN THE ACT

On the 16th of March shortly after 2 AM Csts. Jeff Warner and Bill Gainforth of the North Bay Police responded to a break and enter in progress at the Melrose Joke Shop on Main St. E.
The officers arrived and located a male within the business. It was also discovered that this same male had allegedly kicked in an apartment door in the upper level of this same building.
Andrew McCawley 19 years old of Lamore St. in Deep River is charged with 2 Counts of Break and Enter and remains in custody for a bail hearing.

GOES BERSERK

On the 14th of March at approximately 9 AM it is alleged that a man went berserk within a local motel room the city. He began wrecking the room by throwing furniture around and through the window.
Csts. Henri O’Neil and Randy Adair of the North Bay Police were called to the scene and located crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia within the room as well as a male subject. Over $7000. in damage was caused.
Barry ROBINSON 46 years old of Melvin St. in Sudbury is charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine, Mischief Over $5000 and 2 Counts of Breach of Probation. He remains in custody for a bail hearing.

BREAK & ENTERS

Overnight on the 15th of March thieves made their way into Annabella’s Bridal Boutique and Ladies Wear on 2nd Av. W. via a small sliding window.
Once inside they stole cash. It appears that two individuals were involved and they made their escape through back yards and went towards 3rd Av.

Overnight on the 14th of March thieves forced their way into Dark Horse Comics on Fraser St. Once inside the thieves stole cash. It is also believed that a break and enter occurred at a nearby apartment and at the time and at the time of report it is unknown if anything was missing.

Overnight on the 15th of March thieves removed an air-conditioning unit from a wall to Toe Pick Designs business on Main St. E. Once inside they stole cash.

Overnight on the 14th of March thieves broke a small basement window to a Dental office on Worthington St. E. and then stole a small amount of cash.

Overnight on the 13th of March thieves broke into The Skin Image on Cassells St. via a basement window. Once inside the thieves stole cash and damaged the premises to a value of approximately $2000.
There was also blood found near the cash register.

On the 15th of March at approximately 4:30 AM officers of the North Bay Police responded to an alarm at 100 Georges on First Av. W.
The business had been entered but nothing appears to have been taken and the thieves were frightened off by the alarm.

Between the dates of March 3rd and the 15th of March, thieves broke into a storage container in the 100 block of Golf Course Rd. They made off with over $6000. worth of furniture that had been store there.

Overnight on the 15th of March thieves used a chair and pail to gain access to an upper sliding window to Bio-Sculpture Nails on Cassells St. Once inside they stole cash.

Overnight on the 14th of March vandals forced their way into Nipissing University by prying the main doors. Once inside they pushed over a fibreglass/clay/resin statue that was on loan from a local art gallery. The damage was approximately $5000.

ATTEMPTED BREAK & ENTERS

Overnight on the 14th of March thieves attempted to gain entry to Big Wood Sporting Goods on Worthington St. E. by smashing a front door pane of glass. The suspects could not make their way in due to the double dead bolt lock system on the door.

Overnight on the 15th of March thieves attempted to break a window to the front door of Magic Kettle on Ferguson St.. Entry was not gained.
