Weekend Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 190 calls for service that resulted in 15 arrests.

Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 190 calls for service that resulted in 15 arrests. Offences include assaults, domestic assault, outstanding arrest warrants, possession of drugs, breach of a court order and several for public intoxication.

Break and Enter
A residence in the Lakeshore drive area of the city was entered through an unlocked window. Items taken include a 40’ LCD television.

Theft of Bicycles
The NBPS continues to receive numerous calls from the public reporting thefts of bicycles. The public is reminded to secure bicycles with a lock or to put them inside a garage or a shed when not in use.

Robbery
On Saturday the 7th of July, shortly after midnight, the NBPS received a complaint of an altercation in which a male attempted to strike another male in the face and then stole his bicycle. Further reports were received that the same suspect had threatened someone and was observed smashing several windows in the area. Cst Ashley St. John is investigating.

Break and Enter
A residence was entered in the area of the 400 block of Main Street West on Friday. Stolen was a Dell Inspiron laptop and a wallet.

Mischief
Shortly after midnight on Friday, a number of vehicle windshields were smashed in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Oak Street East. At least two vehicles were also vandalized before the suspect continued to the area of Lee Ave where a further 7 vehicles were vandalized with the use of a hammer. Cst Scott Buchanan is investigating.

Mischief
A window of a business was smashed in the area of the 1300 block of Franklin Street overnight Friday. Cst Christian Elia is investigating.
