Weekend Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 186 calls for service that resulted in 12 arrests. Offences included assaults, threatening, public mischief, fraud, impaired driving, breach of court orders, and public intoxication.

Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 186 calls for service that resulted in 12 arrests. Offences included assaults, threatening, public mischief, fraud, impaired driving, breach of court orders, and public intoxication.

Public Mischief

An investigation into a robbery on the 26th of December has determined that the robbery did not occur. George Mannering 24 years of no fixed address was arrested on the 11th of January, 2014 and charged with public mischief for reporting an offence committed that was not committed. Cst Steve Carleton is investigating.

Threatening

At 12:21 a.m. January 12th, a man was evicted from a Main St. bar. He commented that he would return with a knife and stab people. Mohamed Al-Asaad was arrested at 12:29 a.m. He was charged with threatening and is to appear in court on February 18, 2014. Cst Scott Berry is investigating.

Break and Enter

Between midnight and 8:30 a.m. on the 11th of January, a Beth St. residence was entered through the unlocked main door while the resident was sleeping. A “MSI” laptop and a Playstation 3 were taken. Cst Sue Solman is investigating.
