MOTION PICTURE MONEY
The North Bay Police have arrested a suspect for passing 100 dollar bills that were designed for motion picture use only. Marie Gaetanne St Jean, 49 Yrs, of Laurentian Ave is charged with two counts of uttering a counterfeit document. She is to appear in court on January 4, 2011.

COUNTERFEITS
On Dec 9th the Scotia Bank contacted North Bay Police and turned over 14 counterfeit $100 American bills that had been received in night deposits from 14 stores within Northgate Square. Only a couple of the bills have the same serial number and 10 different numbers were used among the 14 bills. The bills are of such quality that they were accepted as real and not detected until received at the bank.

Investigation has identified two suspects passing the notes. The first is a male, black, in his 20’s, medium build, wearing a black coat, dark hat and a large cross chain. The second is a female, black, in her 20’s medium length black hair, attractive appearance. The North Bay police wish to remind businesses that at this time of year thieves try to take advantage of busy clerks and extra care should be taken when accepting any large bills, in particular American currency that we are not familiar with. The investigation is continuing.
