Elderly man hospitalized after thieves steal from his vehicle

Two men broke into a vehicle parked in a Harris Drive driveway and began stealing items. The elderly victim who was in his residence, saw the two in his vehicle and came out to confront them

A Harris Drive man had to be treated in hospital after a pair of thieves attacked him while stealing from his vehicle on March 28.

The victim's car was parked in his driveway

Around 9:45 p.m. the two broke into the vehicle and began stealing items.

The elderly victim saw the two in his vehicle and came out to confront them. The thieves left the vehicle and approached the victim and assaulted him before fleeing with the victim’s property say police.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he was treated and released. 

Christopher Landriault, 20, of North Bay, was arrested by police on March 30.

He is charged with:

  • Robbery with violence
  • He faces the additional, unrelated charges of theft, forcible entry, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. 

He was held for a bail hearing and then released by the courts yesterday.

Nodin Maybee, 20, of North Bay, is charged with;

  • Robbery with violence
  • Breach of probation

Maybee was located and arrested by police yesterday and is being held for a bail hearing.
