Nipissing Green candidate Sean McClocklin finished fourth in Thursday's provincial election, but told BayToday, "We made an impact."

McClocklin finished with 1,025 votes or about 3.3 per cent of the total vote. That translated into a distant fourth in a riding the Green Party has never been able to attract strong support.

"We're small but mighty and I'm very humbled by the experience," he said.

"We learned how to connect with people along the way."

When asked if he would do it again, the answer was an enthusiastic yes.

"Absolutely. I'll be here again in four years. I'm running a five year campaign so in 2026 I will be here running for the Green Party of Ontario."

McClocklin ran a campaign based on tackling the housing affordability crisis,
