After three consecutive nominations, The Brick North Bay has won the coveted 2019 Brick Franchise Store of the Year Award. The store was recognized at the company’s annual national conference held March 9 – 12, 2020, in Niagara Falls.
While many other awards also were presented during the conference, 60 Canadian franchise locations were vying for the top award - Franchise Store of the Year. The Brick North Bay’s commitment to providing outstanding customer service and quality products contributed to the store winning this well-deserved award. Opened in 2004, The Brick North Bay recently celebrated its 15-year anniversary - winning the Franchise Store of the Year award was the icing on the cake.
Determining the winner was no easy task. There are several factors that are taken into consideration when selecting Franchise Store of the Year. A variety of key performance indicators are measured throughout the year and compared against all other franchises. For 2019, The Brick North Bay outshone all other stores in the areas of sales, operations, customer service and community involvement. The store’s support of The Children’s Miracle Network, a North American non-profit dedicated to sick children, and other charitable initiatives did not go unnoticed. On a local level, The Brick North Bay supports dozens of local charities and initiatives including the Kidney Foundation, North Bay Regional Health Centre, the Humane Society, CIBC Run for the Cure, the Brain Tumour Foundation and more.
Locally-owned by Paul and Annette Lalonde, co-managed by Michelle Georgiev and Beth Jackson, the Brick North Bay continues to focus on community – and they don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. The store is proud of its dedicated and loyal team who, says Jackson, were an integral part of achieving this top recognition. She says, “We have the absolute best team of employees. Without them, this honour would not have been possible.” The store focuses on employing local talent.
