Since 1970, North Bay’s most established travel agency has helped thousands of clients plan their business and personal travel. Despite the challenging times, Mayne Travel Services is pleased to continue providing top-level service to its clients.

Located in downtown North Bay with entrances on Main and Oak Street, Mayne Travel Services offers free two-hour parking at its back door. Open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays until 1 p.m., experienced travel advisors look forward to helping clients plan their trips, whether personal or business. Appointments are also available upon request.

Due to the many COVID-19 travel requirements, not everyone is comfortable with the idea of travelling just yet. However, many are starting to catch the travel bug again. Mayne Travel manager Chris Mayne says, “That feeling extends to travelling with family, friends and even larger groups including destination weddings or company trips.”

Mayne acknowledges that while it can be challenging to get people, even from one family, to agree to an out-of-province vacation, getting a larger group together can be even more challenging. “But for some,” explains Mayne, “the idea of a group vacation is a pleasant calling. And our travel advisors are ready to help people start the planning process.”

The most popular group travel destinations still include all-inclusive resorts. “How often do you get to spend a week together with family or friends and all the drinks and meals are included and someone else is doing the dishes?” he says. “For many, an all-inclusive group getaway is a trip of a lifetime and for others it becomes their favourite way to travel.” All-inclusive resorts are also popular choices for destination weddings.

When it comes to groups of ten or more, tour companies will often consider incentives such as upgraded rooms or price reductions. Mayne encourages larger groups to speak to a travel advisor to find out what incentives might be available. They’ll also help to select a suitable destination tailored to the interests of the group and even handle the financial details of deposits, insurance, travel documents and final payments.

Looking for a more relaxed vacation like a weekend getaway at a cottage with friends or family? If so, Mayne Travel can help.
