The Nipissing Wild modest one-game winning streak was halted on Saturday afternoon as they were dumped 38-7 at the hands of the Brantford Bison at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre in Brantford.

"I thought in the first half we had some great plays but had some mistakes which stalled some drives and didn't allow us to move the ball down the field," stated Wild Head Coach Tyson Brear about Saturday's setback.

"They had a great running back who gave our defence fits all day long, but they never quit and kept and we got better each quarter," he added.

The loss drops the Wild record to 1-4 on the season as they sit in the fifth spot in OFC Varsity North standings.

The Wild's next home game is Saturday, July 8th when they take on the Sault Ste. Marie Sabercats.
