“From what I've heard the organization is nothing but first class, and when the opportunity came up I couldn't say no.”

The Powassan Voodoos have boosted their offence at the CJHL Trade Deadline with the acquisition of Whitby native Shane Beaulieu from the Mississauga Chargers for a development fee.

Beaulieu played netted 7 goals along with 15 assists for 22 points in 37 games this season with the Chargers.  The 19-year-old was also a member of Team OJHL South which competed in the Eastern Canada All-Star Challenge in November in Cornwall.

Beaulieu says he’s excited to be a Voodoo.

“From what I've heard the organization is nothing but first class, and when the opportunity came up I couldn't say no,” stated Beaulieu.

“Their record speaks for itself, and a 25 game winning streak is far from lucky... I know we're going to do big things, and I can't wait to get going.”

Voodoos GM Chris Dawson is thrilled to have an OJHL All-Star added to their roster.

“Beaulieu is a skilled forward with speed and he sees the ice well,” stated Dawson.

“We think he will definitely help both our power play and our penalty kill.”

Beaulieu is expected to join the Voodoos this week for practice and make his debut this Friday in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan when the Voodoos face the Soo Eagles.
