The Powassan Voodoos have added some more size to the blueline with the signing of free-agent defenceman Jack Craycroft, the club announced on Friday.

The 6'3", 185-pound blueliner started the season with the Flin Flon Bombers of the Saskatchewan Junior A Hockey League where he had one goal and two assists for three points in 22 games this season.

"I’m very excited to join the Voodoos," said the 2000 birth year defender who hails from Iowa.

"I have heard great things about the organization and their history of winning. I can’t wait to come in and try to help carry on that tradition."

Voodoos head coach Max Gavin says Craycroft is a welcomed addition to the blueline.

"He is a big body who takes pride in his defensive zone play and will be looked to play minutes against other teams top lines,” said Gavin.

Craycroft is expected to make his Voodoos debut Friday night in Timmins when they take on the Rock.  Puck drop is 7 p.m. at the McIntyre Community Centre in Timmins.
