U16 team heading to Bauer International

The West Ferris Minor Hockey Association Under 16's Minor Midget "AA' team has been accepted to play in the 2009 Bauer International AAA Invite.

This will be a chance for the top U16 players in North Bay to expose themselves and their abilities to the professional scouting community. The United States Hockey League (USHL) is a major sponsor of this tournament. Over 80 scouts attended the 2008 Nike Bauer International Invite. The scouts came from Juniors (USHL, NAHL, EJHL, and Major Junior), Div 1 and 3 colleges, and some NHL teams.

There are 80 teams registered in the U16 category. Teams from nearly every US state will be attending this tournament and this year a team from Latvia will also be playing.
