The Lakers U16 Boys edged the Huntsville U15 Strikers 3-1 at Minute Maid Field in the Steve Omischl Sports Complex Thursday night.
Striker Caleb Dawson opened the scoring converting a precise cross from Midfielder Gavin Thibodeau to open the scoring.
Matthew Ferreira added an insurance marker off a rebound late in the opening half to give the Lakers a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Huntsville was able to cut the lead in half but Holden Tuckett added another goal to secure the Lakers victory.
The win moves the Lakers to 4 wins, 2 losses and one tie in Huronia District Soccer League play.
The Lakers next contest is this Sunday when they face Barrie U16 SC.
