The Sean Lepkan Remax North Bay & District U14 AAA Trappers are proud to represent the Northern Ontario Hockey Association (NOHA) as finalists at the upcoming OHL Cup in Oakville Ontario.

This event will be comprised of 12 U14 AAA teams from across the province. The champion, finalist and third place team will represent the OMHA and GTHL while the HEO, NOHA and Alliance will be sending their Champion and Finalist.

The Soo Greyhounds knocked out the U14 Trappers in the NOHA championship.

Head Coach Jeff Mancini reports He thinks our boys are super excited for this opportunity.

"For 90 per cent of these young men this will be their first time at an All-Ontario Event," said Mancini.

"The group has been working hard on and off ice since their regular season playoff weekend to prepare for this experience.  Mancini has stressed that this is not the end of the season but the true start for their hockey future."

The U14 OHL Cup will take place at Joshua’s Creek Arena in Oakville on April 14-16, 2023 and provide the players and parents with an introduction to the OHL, along with showing them an exciting experience.

Last year, the Vaughan Kings defeated the York-Simcoe Express in the final to win the inaugural event.

The Trappers will kick off the weekend on Friday, April 14 at 3 p.m. They will be facing the Toronto Jr. Canadiens, who are ranked first place in Ontario.
