Jordie Leggett and Scott Baker are heading to the Ontario Men's Amateur Golf Championship at the Islington Golf Club next week. Both players were teamed together on the Chippewa Raiders Golf Team and both are former North Bay Golf and Country Club Men's Invitational Champions.

Leggett qualified for this year's Ontario Amateur Championship by virtue of his win at last year's Northern Golf Association Championship. Baker, a Public Player who now lives in Kitchener, qualified at the Foxwood Golf Club by shooting a 73 and tying for 3rd to earn a spot in the provincial championship.

Baker and Leggett are playing practice rounds together this Sunday and Monday on the famed Stanley Thompson course before teeing it up on Tuesday for their first round. The field of 156 of Ontario's top golfers will play 4 rounds of golf, with a cut after 36 holes.

Both players will be returning to North Bay the following weekend for the Men's Invitational at the North Bay Golf and Country Club.
