Tuesday NDA Soccer

Brett Bethune and Ben Moreau had the other Wildcats goalsa while Eric Maissoneuve scored twice for the Braves.

In other Senior Boys play, Nick DeVuono scored twice to lead the St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears to a 5-2 win over the Algonquin Barons.

Kevin Clayton, Paul Lalonde and Tyler Link had the other goals for the Bears. Barons replied with goals from Jean-Michel Paulin and Nick Bedard.

Junior Boys

Mathieu Trottier scored three times and Jean-Philippe Primeau and Roch Pellerin added a pair as the Franco-Cite Patriotes edged the Algonquin Barons 9-6.

Travis Emond and Pascal Seguin added singles in the high scoring Junior Boys game.

Charly Bates led the Barons attack with four goals. Mathieu Piche and Mathieu Lavigne added singles in the loss.

NDA Girls

The West Ferris Trojans won their third contest of the season in a tight 2-1 decision over the Franco-Cite Patriotes.

The Trojans had a slow start but put together a total team effort that led to their two goals. Kally Watmore fought off 3 defenders to open up the scoring for the Green and White. She was delivered a nicely placed pass from midfielder Aaron Paibomsai.

Trojans added their second goal when left half Brianna Saltstone received a nice pass from Carrie Beaver and placed a hard shot through the Franco netminder.

Jessica Knight of the Patriotes was always an offensive threat and scored the lone Patriotes goal in the second half. Trojans doubled up their coverage of Knight and successfully shut her down for the remainder of the game.

Defensively, Kylie Deschene excelled shutting down any attacks. Caitlyn Meyers and Kally Watmore had some nice two touch magic happening in the mid-field. Meyers also had a solid defensive game, playing sweeper, as well as filling in the fullback position when needed.

Goaltender Carrissa Poulin added another win to her very successful league record.
