The West Ferris Trojans continued with their impressive and unbeaten season on a heat scorched West Ferris field on Thursday afternoon as the Trojans defeated the Franco Cite Patriotes 2-0 in the NDA Senior Boys championship soccer game.

Scott Britton and Sandy Burke did the scoring for the Trojans who captured the NOSSA "AA" soccer title earlier in the week in Sudbury.

Trojans head coach Paul Cook was thrilled after the final whistle blew as his team used a combination of skill and work ethic to walk over all the competition the club faced.

The 2-0 victory was a good score for the Patriotes who were dominated throughout the contest.

"We are proud to have an undefeated season," said Cook.

"I give the guys full value for the win. We were like a dream team but we took things one game at a time."

The Trojans hope their unbeaten streak continues next week when they head to Timmins for the OFSAA "AA" Boys championships taking place June 4th to 6th.
