The West Ferris Trojans captured the title at the 40 team 23rd annual Bur Bear tournament in Burlington on Saturday by defeating Oak Park of Winnipeg 3-2. To get to the championship game the Trojans defeated St.
The West Ferris Trojans captured the title at the 40 team 23rd annual Bur Bear tournament in Burlington on Saturday by defeating Oak Park of Winnipeg 3-2. To get to the championship game the Trojans defeated St. Francis Phoenix of Guelph 6-2, Burlington Central Blues 5-0, tied Holy Trinity of Oakville 2-2 which placed them in 1st place in their division. The Trojans kept rolling in the quarter-final as they shutout Milton 6-0. In the semi-final they doubled Theriault from Timmins 4-2.

In the final the Trojans scored the game winner with just 1:02 left in the third period. Mike McCrudden was voted the Tournament MVP.
