The West Ferris Trojans dream of 10 straight NDA Sr. Boys Basketball titles came to a screeching halt on home court as the Chippewa Raiders completed a 2-game sweep of the best-of-three NDA semi-finals with a close 54-52 victory over the Trojans at West Ferris Tuesday night.

Shawn Humphrey led the Raiders with 13 points including the winning bucket with less than 3 seconds left on the clock.

Spencer Brear led the disappointed Trojans with 17 points.

Wildcats move on

The Widdifield Wildcats finished off their semi-final series with a tight victory of their own as the Cats edged the Algonquin Barons 49-45 to complete their sweep in the best-of-three semi-final series in 2 straight.

Mike Costello led the first-place Wildcats with 17 points while the Barons Nick Bedard finished with 22 points.

The Cats and Raiders will tip off to start the NDA Sr. Boys best-of-three final on Friday at Widdifield.
