The first place Trojans hosted their cross town rivals, the second place Scollard Hall Bears in NDA Senior Boys Soccer action Monday night in what proved to be a very exciting game. The home side jumped into an early 1-0 lead with striker Scott Britton placing the ball just inside the far post from his left wing position just three minutes into the game. Both Keepers, Tylor Cowdon for West Ferris and Graham Loyst for Scollard made a number of key saves in the game, which featured solid team defense by both teams. The Bears Kevin Clayton and the Trojans, Cory Tester and Mike McCrudden turned in stellar performances on defense, while West Ferris midfielders Shayne Karns and Tylor Doell dominated the midfield. Trojan striker Cam Boake scored an insurance marker in the last ten minutes of the game on a perfect pass from centre forward Doug McRae. The shutout was Cowdon's third of the season. The win results in the senior Trojans finishing the season undefeated with a 5-win 1-tie record, the same record they recorded last year.
