The West Ferris Trojans ran their record to 5-0 with a 36-7 victory over the Algonquin Barons. Early the Barons gave the Trojans problems as the Trojan offence sputtered out of the gate. The Barons actually took the lead as they punted the ball in the end zne for a single point.

It was actually the Trojan defence that stepped up and created a turnover deep in Algonquin territory to allow Dave Staniszewski to score on short run. That was followed by two more touchdowns by Mike Small to give the Trojans a 21-1 lead at the half.

The Barons started the 2nd half mounting an impressive drive but were once again stopped by the Trojans D.

Lucas Beaver and Mike McCrudden added touchdowns to put the game out of reach for the Trojans.

In the last minute Algonquin Quarterback Davin North hooked up with Nick Bedard on a nice 76 yard pass and catch play to close out the scoring.

The loss drops the Barons record to 1-4 on the season.
