Trojans fall in Milton basketball final

The West Ferris Sr. Boys Basketball team dropped a tight 66-61 decision to D’Youville from Brampton in the final of the Bishop Reding high school basketball tournament in Milton on the weekend.

Alex Degagne led the green and white in the final with 22 points including seven three pointers. Dustin Anthony drained 15 points while Nathan Jenner added a dozen in the loss.

The Trojans opened the hoops tourney with a 49-44 win over Burlington. John Gore had 19 points in the game. In the Trojans second contest they defeated Maple from North York 77-56. Adam Gore and Andrew McIntosh both had 19 points in the win.
