Trojans Claim Mini-Match Title

The West Ferris Trojans girls hockey team recently competed in the Canlan Ice Sports - March Mini Matches tournament at the York Ice Gardens. The Trojans posted a 3-1 record, outscoring their competition 17-2 in the four games including a 6-0 win in the final on their way to the division 2 title.

Congratulations goes out to the girls on a very successful season including winning many tournaments and narrowly being defeated in the NOSSA 'AA' championships by the 2008 gold medalist and 2009 antique bronze medalist Notre Dame Allouettes from Sudbury.

Team members include: Briana Saltstone, Kylie Deschenes, Molly O'Grady, Brittany Bisaillon, Jen Daniher, Helen Turner, Natalka Hunka, April Paquette, Stephanie Zen, Kristen Koostachin, Marcy Kataquapit, Allison Koosees, missing was Katelyn Pepabano. Caoching staff includes: Rod Vincent, Deanna Wilkinson, Lance Moffat and Ryan Culhane.
