Sturgeon Falls - The West Ferris Lady Trojans Senior team stormed into Sturgeon Falls last night and swept through like a tornado. With a tenacious team defence that stifled the Braves, the Ferris squad allowed only 7 first half points en route to a 60-11 win over the Northern Braves.

Carrying the same strong defensive play into the third quarter the Trojans shut down any offence the Braves tried to mount, allowing only 4 points in the second half. Stephanie Zen lead the team in rebounding at both ends of the floor along with a complimentary effort from sister Ashley Zen. In total 11 of 12 team members contributed to the scoring for the Trojans. Leading the attack was Aaron Paibomsai with 11, Abeba Kitchen with 9, Macknezie Devlin with 8, Mcenzie Joyes with 7 and Sarah Pledge contributed 6. The Trojans were also consistent at the foul line shooting 72%.

The Senior Lady Trojans record at this point in the season stands at 3-4. Next action for the Lady Trojans comes Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. as they host the Chippewa Raiders.
