Trappers winning streak continues

The North Bay Trappers built up a 2-0 lead after one period of play and held on to defeat the Kirkland Lake 87's 5-3 at the Kirkland Lake Community Complex on Saturday night.

Joel Senecal had a pair of goals for the Trappers while Mathieu Sneddon, Liam Berti, and Curtis Megginson added singles. Shawn Bailey got the win in goal for the North Bay Midget AAA squad.

After a slow start, the Trappers continue to be unbeaten in October winning their fourth straight.

The Trappers will have their hands full to make it five straight as they host the 10-2-1 Valley East Cobras on Sunday afternoon (1:20 p.m.) at West Ferris arena.
