The North Bay Major Midget AAA Trappers took a 2-0 series lead thanks to a convincing 9-2 win over the Timmins Majors in game two of the best-of-five Great North Midget League semi-final series Saturday night at Memorial Gardens.
Hunter Foreshew led the Trappers attack with three goals, while Cole Craft and Sam Garagan each scored twice. Ian Denomme and Nick Hahkala added singles in the win. Trappers netminder Riley Audet got the win in goal.
The Trappers opened the series with a 6-3 win on Memorial Gardens ice on Friday night.
Game three of the series will take place next weekend in Timmins.
