Trappers open with convincing win to open Great North Midget League Semi's

Joe Jordan scored twice to lead the North Bay Major Midget AAA Trappers to a convincing 5-0 win in the opening game of the Great North Midget League semi-finals against the visiting Soo Thunderbirds at Memorial Gardens Friday night. 

Joe Jordan led the Trappers offence with a pair of goals while singles went to Jack Stockfish, Zachary Lefebvre and Justin Dauphinais.   

Reece Proulx was credited with the shootout for the Trappers in game one of the best-of-five series. 

Game two is back at Memorial Gardens at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
