Trappers move on

After receiving a game one loss on home ice, the North Bay Trappers responded with three straight victories over the Timmins Majors in the first round of the Great North Midget League Playoffs as they won the best-of-five series in four games (3-1).

The Timmins Majors won game one at West Ferris arena but after that loss they never looked back winning 4-0 on Saturday to take a 2-1 series lead and then went on to finish off the Majors with a 5-3 decision Sunday in Timmins.

Marc Senecal had a pair of goals for the Trappers, while singles went to Mat Pepin, Kody Carnevale, and Paul Deluca.
