The Nickel City Sons defeated the North Bay Trappers 10-6 in Chelmsford in Great North Midget League regular season play.
It was the regular season opener for both clubs.
The loss spoiled a great offensive day for Nick Huard who scored 5 goals and added an assist for the Trappers.
The North Bay squad is in Sudbury tomorrow afternoon to face the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves.
