Titans tackle the Soo

The North Bay Y Titans traveled to Sault Ste. Marie recently to compete in the Pre-qualifying Dave Kensit A Memorial Champion swim meet. Nicole Plumb, Vendela Edmonds, Brittany Pask and Angelina Racine represented the 11 and 12 year old girls.
The North Bay Y Titans traveled to Sault Ste. Marie recently to compete in the Pre-qualifying Dave Kensit A Memorial Champion swim meet.

Nicole Plumb, Vendela Edmonds, Brittany Pask and Angelina Racine represented the 11 and 12 year old girls. All the girls achieved personal bests in their individual races with Nicole and Brittany achieving personal bests in all their categories.

Kelsey O Connor, Meleah Seguin, Shelby Twilt and Jennifer Leckie represented the 13 and 14 year old girls. All the girls acquired personal bests. Jennifer Leckie capitalized in all the categories of the breastroke with two first place and one second place finishes qualifying her for the Age Group Nationals and Eastern Nationals.

Representing the 15 and over girls were Erin Emery, Carolyn Mayne, Ashley Duquette, and Dominique Boiuchard. Not only did the girls achieve personal bests but finished in the top five placings in several categories. Special mention goes out to Dominique Bouchard who dominated all her races bringing home five first place finishes and one third place finish resulting in Dominique taking the 15 and over high point and the female Senior High Point trophies.

Representing our senior boys was Jacob Laframboise. He achieved a third place finish and two fourth place finishes.

The team will continue to train hard in preparation for the Fred Rams Regional B Championships in Sudbury Feb 24 & 25th.
