Titans Swim at Long Course Provincials

Seven North Bay Y Titans swimmers spent the past weekend in Nepean,Ontario at the Junior Provincial Long Course Championships.
Seven North Bay Y Titans swimmers spent the past weekend in Nepean,Ontario at the Junior Provincial Long Course Championships. Anisha Bhattacharyya, swimming in her first provincial championships, set some very solid times for herself while teammate Connor Montgomery, also a first time provincial competitor, achieved a personal best time in the 100m freestyle event.

Returning 11-year-old provincial competitor and newest Titans team member, Megan Tom, swam to personal best times in the 100m butterfly, 100m and 200m freestyle.

For Brittany Pask and fellow Titan Jaydan Jackson, who finished 8th in the 200m backstroke final, the meet served as a springboard for Summer Senior Nationals later this month in Edmonton where they will be competing amongst the top level swimmers in Canada.

For Noah Swain, who achieved personal best times in the 200m IM and 200m Fly and Renee Gagnon, who swam to a personal best time in the 200m Free, the meet served as valuable training and experience for Age Group Nationals later this month in Calgary, where they will also be joined by teammates Pask and Jackson as well as Jeremy Sallie and Steve Cholette.
