The TCM Produce Peewee team earned silver over the weekend in New Liskeard.

TCM had a lone game Friday against a Quebec team and took it 3-0. It was tight game and was 0-0 after 2 periods but Brandon Badgley opened it up and score 2 goals in the 3rd period.

In their Saturday morning game, TCM played a home team and it was another close tight checking game as it finished in 1-1 tie. Their afternoon game against West Nipissing was a little more wide open as TCM won 6-3 to finish with a record of 2-0-1 and finish 2nd in their group.

In the quarter-finals they met up with a girl’s bantam team from New Liskeard who easily finished 1st in their group. TCM’s MVP for this game was Nicholas Dottori.

In the semi-finals, TCM played the New Liskeard team they tied in the round-robin. It was another very close game but TCM came on top and were off to the finals. TCM’s MVP was Sheldon Boissonneault.

After playing 2 very tough rough games already that day against 2 New Liskeard teams and full of bruises and still not mentally over the rough quarter-final game, TCM played Gateway Signs also from North Bay. Every game that these 2 teams have played against each other had been very close and it would be no different in New Liskeard as Gateway Signs won the game 3-2. It was another rock solid tournament for TCM goaltender Isabella Belanger who received MVP in the finals for TCM.

TCM showed great skill, determination and heart and most of all, great sportsmanship. They forechecked, blocked shots, backchecked and never game up.

The TCM silver medalists included: Ben Alexander, Ty Ogletree, Chandler Mulvany, Nicholas Dottori, Sheldon Boissonneault, Tyler Rolls, Lyndsey Bradford, Brady Hardwick, Jesse Kri, Brandon Badgley, Mason Geauvreau, Austen Filiatreau and Isabella Belanger.
