T-Birds swimmers at long course provincials

Etobicoke - Sierra McCourt (11), Andrew Palangio (13), Bryanna Penno (12) and Jennifer Piper (15) four members of the CFB Thunderbird Swim Club are currently swimming in the Junior/SWAD Provincial Long Course Provincials at the Etobicoke Olympium Pool where they join 751 swimmers from 76 teams. The championships run from Thursday, July 7th to Sunday July 10th.

The four have been training everyday for the last month in preparation for the Provincials. To date Sierra McCourt has placed 13th in her 50m freestyle with a 31.60 and 16th in her 400m IM with a 6:23.05 both of which were best times. Andrew Palangio placed 11th in his 100m Butterfly with a time of 1:13.46 which is a best time and 12th in his 50m freestyle with a 29.06. Bryanna Penno placed 9th in her 200m Butterfly with a time of 3:03.38 and 13th in 100m Butterfly with a time of 1:18.72. Jennifer Piper placed 9th in her 50m freestyle with a time of 28.27 and will swim later tonight in B finals, and 35th in 200m freestyle with a time of 2:15.43.
