Swim season wraps up with annual Titans awards

The local swim club held its annual awards event on Sunday, capping off what Titans' coaches say was a 'fantastic' year.

The 2017-18 season has come to an end for the North Bay Titans.
 
The local swim club held its annual awards event on Sunday, capping off what Titans' coaches say was a 'fantastic' year.
 
Eleven-year-old Julia Rivet won the 2017-18 Dominique Bouchard Swimmer of the Year award.
 
She won over 30 races this season and finished second or third in several more.
 
Earlier this month, Rivet and nine-year-old Owen Baas achieved multiple personal best times at the Ontario Summer Festival Championship (June 15-17) in Markham, Ont.
 
Also achieving Ontario Festival times this season were Robby Baas and Annabelle Jackson, who are both 11 years old.
