The Temiscaming Royals (22-6-2) lost a tight game friday evening in front of packed house of 501. The Deseronto Storm (18-8-1) got the win in a shoot-out 3-2. The game took a while to develop, 9 minutes into the first, Corey Watkins opened the scoring for the Storm. With only 16 seconds left in the period. Alex Brazeau put one in past netminder Jens Kansell.

Stephane Gunner put the home team ahead a little past the half way point of the third. The lead was short lived as a defensive zone giveaway produced the tying goal by John Sweet.

The game went with a five minute sudden death overtime period.

The shots on goal after regulation and overtime was 38-31 in favor of the Royals.

The game would be decided by penalty shots. After four shooters from each team managed to get only 1 goal for each team. The Storm's Andrew Bobas scored and the Royals needed Alex Brazeau to keep it going another round, but Kansell made a nice split save to get the victory.

Next home game for the Royals is Sunday, December 23rd at 2:30 against the Nipissing Alouettes. On Friday, January 4th, the Royals will host the Moscow Selects, a junior A all star team playing 7 exhibition games against G.M.H.L. teams. Game time is 8:00 p.m.
