Stingers 1-2 at Guelph tournament

Guelph – The North Bay Stingers Peewee "AA" hockey team was eliminated after three games of round robin play here on the weekend. In their first contest the Stingers fell 5-0 to the Ottawa Valley Silver Seven.

In their first contest the Stingers fell 5-0 to the Ottawa Valley Silver Seven.

In game two the Stingers faced off against London Jr. Knights Gold and came up short losing 4-1. London notched two late goals in the third to break open a 2-1 game.

In their final round robin game the Stingers gave up three power play goals to Orangeville but were able to hang on and pick up a 5-4 victory.

The championship pitted London Jr Knights Gold against the Ottawa Valley Silver Seven. The London squad emerged with a 3-2 victory.

The Stingers travel to Oshawa where they will compete in the MP3 Crows Sports Tournament which takes place December 7th to 9th.

The Stingers roster includes: Kenny Appleby, Pascal Laperriere, Danny Desrochers, Matt Jemmett, Jamie Restoule, Jake Staples, Nick Scott, Eric Champagne, Ryan Wilkinson, Matt Salter, Cole Filiatrault, Tyler Kennedy, Matt Buckley, Courtney Geisler and Stephen Mason.
