North Bay Midget AAA Trappers forward Dylan Staples made a good first impression at the OHL Cup.
Staples scored 2 goals and added 1 assist in the opening game for the NOHA Wolves - a Great North Midget League Under 16 all-star team competing at the Ontario Hockey League Showcase tournament in Mississauga this week.
The NOHA Wolves, coached by Nickel City Sons bench boss Brent Battistelli lost their opener 4-3 to the Ottawa Jr. 67's.
The NOHA All-Stars will take to the ice at 10:45 a.m. Thursday morning to take on the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs.
The tournament is a showcase for players eligible to be drafted in this spring's OHL draft.
