The North Bay Bulldogs Senior Varsity football team area is hosting the Toronto Jets in a semi-final contest Saturday, July 27 at 1 p.m.
With a win, the Bulldogs would make their second appearance at the OPFL Provincial Championship in two years.
Last year the Bulldogs competed against a tough Ottawa team and battled right to the end of the game to come away with a 15-12 Championship win.
This year the Bulldogs earned their way to a first-place season finish with a 7-1 record.
"Our focus this week from the coaches down to the players has been to not be overconfident and to prepare to play their very best game ever Saturday because in a semi-final nobody hands you a win...you gotta fight and put out your best effort to take the win," said Bulldogs club president Marc Mathon.
The defending Champions will be kicking off Saturday at 1 p.m. at Steve Omischl Sports Complex and there will be BBQ on hand for food and refreshments.
The Bulldogs have four Miami Dolphins NFL game tickets for a December 22 game that will be raffled off this year and tickets will be available.
